We didn’t ultimately win, but we’re thrilled to be named a Finalist for the Best Use of YouTube/Vimeo/Video for Content Marketing by the Content Marketing Institute (CMI) in their annual Content Marketing Awards (CMA).
Surfboard Video catches Waves of Viewers with Strategic Distribution for Ernest Packaging Solutions by Raidious
The CMI presents the CMAs each year to recognize and award the best content marketing projects, agencies and marketers in the industry. The 2015 CMAs represent every aspect of content marketing from strategy to distribution, from design to editorial, encompassing 75 categories. The CMA program is the leading international awards program for corporate content creation and distribution.
At Raidious, we consider every avenue to tell a brand’s story through content. Sometimes the content type leads the strategic distribution discussions, and other times it’s in reverse. In the case of Ernest’s cardboard surfboard video, it was our job to distribute the creative content–an awesome video produced by Signal Snowboards.
We executed based on a strategy, which incorporated supporting social content crafted for specific channels to yield more video views. We monitored and moderated conversations taking place online surrounding the video and pivoted our tactics to maximize engagement. While views increased, we never took our eyes off the activity and opportunities.
When a video as well-crafted as Ernest’s (or any piece of content) is ready to debut online, distribution (organic and paid) strategy must proceed it. And that’s how we wrangled up the honor as a finalist in the 2015 CMA’s for video distribution.
